Tay Kim Hong

“My artistic aspiration is to promote the appreciation of traditional painting medium.”

Tay Kim Hong, Aeolus is a skilled, qualified and an experienced photographer, having graduated from NAFA with Diploma in Visual Communication (majoring in Photography). Aeolus actively participated photography competitions and has won 2nd place in The ICON Award 05, Photography/DPM and Outstanding entry for “Peace” photography competition, Grain magazine Issue 7. Works of Mr Tay Kay Chin (Singapore Photographer), Mr Boo Sze Yang (Singapore Artist) and Mr Kris LeBoutillier (National Geographic Photographer) are his major influences.
Although his passion is photography, Aeolus is open to explore painting as an art medium. Besides photography, his other artistic strengths include acrylic painting, water colour painting and portraits.
Almost anything can inspire Aeolus’ works. They range from natural elements like trees, flowers, plants, water, birds, animals to people’s gestures and expressions to light, colours, shapes, forms and textures.
His current artistic style deals very much with vibrant colours and bold stroke and his artistic aspiration is to promote the appreciation of traditional painting medium.
